Save the date for our 2024 used book sale. You’ll find thousands of high-quality books for all ages and interests. We hope you can make it.
We are NO LONGER accepting donations of books for our 2024 sale. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the warehouse is full.
This sale will take place on the portico outside the library, adjacent to the Farmers Market.
- 08:00 am – Sale begins
- 2:00 pm – Sale ends
Book prices are as follows:
- Children’s $.50
- Paperbacks $1
- Hardcover $2
- Jigsaw puzzles $2
Additionally, shoppers will find a special prices table with books marked individually.
To make shopping easier, fiction titles will be sorted by the first letter of authors’ last names. Some of the book categories are biographies, fiction, children’s, cooking, self-help, history, hobbies, and travel.
Funds raised benefit the Modesto Library and its customers. FOML-funded projects have included replacing the fish tank, upgrading furniture in the children and teen areas, children’s and adult programming at the library, and purchasing children’s books for giveaways at library events.
If possible, bring a bag to carry your purchases. We will have a limited number of bags and boxes available.
