Our biggest used book sale ever will feature thousands of paperback and hardcover books. Prices are $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcovers with some vintage or limited edition books at a higher price. Children’s books are 2 for $1. Some of the book categories are biographies, fiction, children’s, cooking, self-help, history, military history, hobbies, and travel. Two new categories this year are Civil War and science fiction.

To make shopping easier this year, fiction titles will be sorted by author.

Funds raised benefit the Modesto Library and its customers. FOML-funded projects this year include replacing the fish tank, upgrading furniture in the children and teen areas, and children’s and adult programming at the library.

If possible, bring a bag to carry your purchases. We will have a limited number of bags and boxes available.

Cash preferred; checks accepted with ID.

The following COVID protocols will be in place:

• Staff and volunteers will wear a mask; masks will be available for customers who wish to wear one but do not bring their own
• Hand sanitizer stations will be at the entrance and exit
• Customer flow will begin at the parking lot, follow in one direction, and exit at the front
• Cashier stations will be located at the front of the library and will be spaced apart
