Thanks to the generosity of Alfred Matthews, readers who complete the Summer Reading Challenge at the Modesto Library will earn two free tickets to see the film, “Wonder” at the State Theatre on Aug. 6. The Summer Reading Challenge is in full swing, with thousands of youngsters—and adults too!—reading during the summer months.
This event will take place at the State Theatre.
Children age 8 to 18 who complete the challenge and return their reading logs to the Modesto Library will receive two free tickets, while supplies last, to see “Wonder” at the State Theater. “Wonder,” which is rated PG, tells the inspiring and heartwarming true story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters 5th grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.
Adults can participate too, by completing a book review sheet to be entered in additional prize drawings.
Doors open at 3:00 pm.
