Save the Date–Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022
We had too many books to hold just a single used book sale this year. What to do? Hold a second one, of course. As usual, you’ll find thousands of high-quality books for all ages and interests. We hope you can make it.
We are no longer accepting donations of books.
COVID protocols will be in place as needed. See details below under tab EVENT DETAILS.
This sale will take place on the portico outside the library, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market.
- 8:00 am – Sale begins
- 3:00 pm – Sale ends
Book prices are as follows:
- Children’s $1
- Paperbacks $2
- Hardcover $3 OR 2 for $5
Additionally, shoppers will find a special prices table with books marked individually.
To make shopping easier, fiction titles will be sorted by the first letter of authors’ last names. Some of the book categories are biographies, fiction, children’s, cooking, self-help, history, military history, hobbies, and travel.
Funds raised benefit the Modesto Library and its customers. FOML-funded projects last year included replacing the fish tank, upgrading furniture in the children and teen areas, and children’s and adult programming at the library.
If possible, bring a bag to carry your purchases. We will have a limited number of bags and boxes available.
We accept cash, credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo; checks accepted with ID.
