El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day)

Dia

Día celebrations, held each year in April, feature crafts, activities, and a special bilingual Story Time. Each child receives a free book to take home while supplies last, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

Día’s goal is to connect children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures and an opportunity for the Friends of the Modesto Library to demonstrate its commitment to literacy in the community.

Local non-profit organizations such as Health Plan of San Joaquin, Center for Human Services and LearningQuest join the Modesto Friends on this special day. Admission is always free.

Celebrate Day of the Child/Day of the Book with crafts, activities, games, and a special bilingual Story Time. A variety of service organizations will provide information to participants. Each child will also receive a free new book while supplies last, courtesy of Friends of the Modesto Library.
